PETALING JAYA: The number of Covid-19 patients requiring oxygen assistance at the Malaysia Agriculture Expo Park (MAEPS) integrated quarantine and treatment centre in Serdang has seen an 80% drop from earlier this month.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 The compound of the Covid-19 Integrated Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC) 2.0 at the Malaysia Agriculture Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) now houses a medical oxygen micro filling plant that can ensure oxygen supply for Covid-19 patients always sufficient and stable. Before this, empty oxygen cylinders had to be sent from PKRC MAEPS 2.0 to Banting three times a day for refilling with a one-way trip took more than an hour, but now the process takes less than 10 minutes.

516 oxygen concentrators to be installed at MAEPS quarantine centre

PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): A total of 516 oxygen concentrators will be placed at Hall A and C of the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) Integrated Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC) 2.0 in Serdang, where Category Three and Four Covid-19 patients are being treated. MAEPS PKRC 2.0 director Dr Shahabuddin Ibrahim said the move was in preparation of patients’ increasing need for oxygen. He said currently 1,670 patients are being treated at MAEPS PKRC 2.0, of whom, 1,300 patients are under category three and over 200 under category four. Our manpower is focused on patients under these two categories, he told Bernama on Wednesday (July 21). Category three refers to cases with pneumonia but not requiring oxygen, while category four refers to those with pneumonia requiring oxygen.

FRONTLINERS who are working tirelessly to take care of Covid-19 patients admitted to the Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) in Serdang were treated to delicious durian confectionery courtesy of Hernan Corporation Sdn Bhd on June 11. The activity, which was lead by Hernan Corporation Sdn Bhd CEO Anna Teo, distributed RM150,000 worth of durian confectionery in the form of Musang King snowy cake, mochi and other delectable products to the dedicated team in MAEPS. “All of us at Hernan Corporation are inspired by the selflessness and hard work by the nation’s frontliners. They exhibit an enormous amount of sheer determination and patience to help each Covid-19 patient that walks through the door of MAEPS,” said Teo.
