A Dhaka court today sentenced six people, including a Chinese national and two officials of National Bank Ltd, to different terms of imprisonment in a case filed over the embezzlement of Tk 2.59 crore.
A truck driver was killed this afternoon after his truck collided head-on with a bus at Fultala area on Khulna-Jashore highway. The deceased Saleh Hossain (37) was a resident of Chaulia village under Jashore Sadar upazila. The accident with the Jashore bound "Gorai Paribahan" bus left Saleh critically injured, Highway Police said quoting eyewitnesses. Police later rescued him
