In a significant order for credit card users, the Bangalore district consumer disputes redressal commission directed Standard Chartered Bank and Shaha Finlease Pvt Ltd to pay Rs1 lakh compensation with 10% interest and Rs3,000 as litigation cost for failing to update the Credit Information Bureau (India) Ltd (CIBIL) record of its customer.
A district consumer commission has directed Standard Chartered Bank and another party to compensate a Kandivali resident with Rs35,000 within sixty days of receiving the order.
