Trans person killed, accused arrested July 10, 2021 MARDAN: A transgender person was shot dead on the outskirts of the district and the police arrested the alleged killers soon after the incident, officials said on Friday. The killing had taken place as a result of a dispute between the locals and the organizers of a gathering for the transgender persons in Sari Bahlol area of Mardan, they said. Mubashir Syed, alias Kalajee, a resident of Bakhshali village, died Thursday night after sustaining serious injuries in the firing, they added. Saro Shah Police Station cops shifted the body to the hospital for postmortem and registered the case on the complaint of the victim’s brother Sodair Syed.
