RM300,000 bribery: MACC arrests businessman with Datuk Seri title

SHAH ALAM (March 9): The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Selangor has arrested a businessman with the title of ‘Datuk Seri’ on suspicion of bribery amounting to RM300,000 from an individual allegedly to help release 22 Chinese nationals detained at the Immigration depot. MACC sources said the 44-year-old man was arrested at about 8pm at the Selangor MACC office today.

Published on: Saturday, January 30, 2021 By: Bernama Credit: thevibes.com PUTRAJAYA: Motorists with traffic summons issued in Shah Alam or Selangor need not have to appear physically in court to make their guilty plea as it can be done through long distance communication technology, effective Feb 2. This followed the launch of the online  guilty plea system for traffic offences or  e-PG System, according to a statement from the Office of the Federal Court Chief Registrar. It said the e-PG System will be applied by the Shah Alam Magistrate Court in Selangor for all traffic cases registered in the Shah Alam Magistrate Court 3 beginning Feb 2 to 5, 2021.
