Respect for Women is an important manifestation of civilized society Islamabad, March 09, 2021 (PPI-OT): The respect to women reflects a civilized society and honour to them is greatly helpful to address the social issues. It was stated by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman while addressing a ceremony held at Central Police Office (CPO) in connection with International Women’s Day. The female cops, on the occasion, participated in the shooting and other demonstrations. The IGP appreciated females serving in Islamabad police and other fields of life. He said those nations respecting women are successful as they maintain bonds of a family with the society and give its members sense as how to behave in outer world.

Fines imposed on three petrol pump owners - Newspaper

TAXILA: Heavy fines were imposed on the owners of three petrol pumps for tampering with nozzles and short-selling fuel. Assistant Commissioner Shagufta Jabeen along with officials of the municipal committee and enforcement department paid surprise visits to filling stations on Wessa Road to check gauges and per-litre prices of diesel and petrol. In Rawalpindi, four patients breathed their last while 29 tested positive. Naseem Akhtar, 69, a resident of Gulshanabad, Adiala, was shifted to Kulsoom International Hospital on Jan 8 where he died. Imtiaz Bibi, 57, a resident of Lala Rukh Colony in Taxila, had been under treatment at the Fauji Foundation Hospital since Dec 21 but could not survive and died on Friday night. Abdul Haq, 70, from Wah Cantonment and Mohammad Hanif, 75, from Dhoke Mazharabad in Chaklala succumbed to the virus at Pims where they had been brought on Jan 8. Meanwhile, the district recorded 458 active patients with 86 under treatment in hospitals and 372 isolated in their homes. Moreover, 466 people are waiting for their test results.
