The Adamawa State Police Command on Saturday apprehended a 56-year-old man for beating his 38-year-old wife to death. The suspect Aminu Abubakar, a resident of Lelewaji, Shagari phase 2, in the Yola South Local Government Area, reportedly beat up the deceased Nana Fadimatu following a disagreement between them. Abubakar had reportedly heard that the deceased was going to marry a new husband the next day, a statement by the spokesperson for the state police command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said on Sunday.
