LONDON: Renowned Pakistani film actress Meera has regretted that Pakistani media published fake news about her that she had been admitted to a mental hospital.
Speaking to Geo News over the phone, actress Meera said there was a “misunderstanding” when she visited a hospital in New York last week but the matter was resolved quickly and neither she was sent to a mental hospital nor there was any requirement for her to deposit a bond of $50,000 to leave the hospital.
“There was another fake news that I have been asked to leave the United States of America. I am here in Houston today with showbiz promoter Rehan Siddiqui to work on at least three projects including a meet and greet session, Ramzan transmission and an acting project. I will be working in Houston for a month,” said Meera who reached Houston last night from New York.

WASHINGTON: Pakistani actress Meera - who remains in news for her controversies - has reportedly been discharged from the mental hospital after Captain Naveed paid $50,000 for her bail .
It is learnt that the actress was advised to continue her mental treatment in her home country, as she was ordered to leave America within 48 hours.
Meera’s father-in-law was also reported to have said that she would be sent to Pakistan on an urgent basis.
There are also reports that Meera s improper speaking skills landed her in trouble as she made an attempt to impress the doctors through her broken English.

Citing the
Baaji actor’s mother Shafqat Rubab, local media outlets are claiming that the actor had reportedly affronted an American doctor while she was demanding preferential treatment for her fever after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
As per a report by
Dunya News, Meera had requested for special treatment, claiming she had been given protocol by the Prime Minister.
