The British royal family has faced quite a blow after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle not only parted ways, but accused the Firm of discrimination as well as racism.
Former Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott who is the first Black member of Parliament said that owing to the fiasco unleashed by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the royal family could come to an end.
She said this in a new Vanity Fair cover story, adding that the monarchy “as we know it will last as long as the queen is alive.”

TODAY, PARLIAMENT will hold a debate on black maternal mortality at 6.15pm following efforts from campaign group FiveXMore and others.
The group cites research which found that black women are four times more likely to die during pregnancy, childbirth and after childbirth.
The grassroots campaign group, set up by Clotilde Rebecca Abe and Tinuke Awe received over 187,000 signatures on their petition calling for “urgent action” to address the problem.
“Parliament has a duty to hold the NHS to account, to set clear targets and an action plan to address this racial disparity that has not changed for decades,” the group said.

More than 100 public figures in Britain, including former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and the acclaimed poet Benjamin Zephaniah, have signed a letter to Home Secretary Priti Patel demanding that the deportation of 22-year-old Jamaican Osime Brown be rescinded.
Brown, who has autism, was convicted of a theft while still in his teens and sentenced to five years in prison.
Under current UK legislation, any foreign national sentenced to more than a year is liable to automatic deportation. But Brown, who left Jamaica as a young child, has no relatives in the island and would be extremely vulnerable.
