PLEASANTON — Swimming and boating will return to the Shadow Cliffs Recreation Area this month, thanks to the abundant rain and snow last winter that has allowed the State Water
For the first time since 2020, the lake at Pleasanton s Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area could soon have enough water for people to swim, fish and drive their boats if all continues to go well with recent water-pumping efforts.
Shadow Cliffs Lake is an example of California s challenges in managing water resources. Our state is affected by long-term droughts and unpredictable weather patterns, making water management difficult.
