BIJNOR: The custodian of a boy, 12, whose mother is lined up for hanging for killing seven members of her family in UP’s Amroha, on Monday said that she wants CBI to re-investigate the entire case. She has also moved a fresh mercy plea before UP’s governor.
“I spoke to Shabnam for the first time about the case. She says that she had been framed. She has also appealed to the state and central government to initiate a CBI probe in the case. Shabnam, through her lawyers, has filed a fresh mercy petition before Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel,” the child’s custodian said. The boy and his custodian had met Shabnam in Rampur jail on Sunday afternoon. Their meeting lasted for about 45 minutes.
