Asda in Accrington A MAN was arrested for begging after ignoring two earlier warnings from the police. Blackburn magistrates heard Stuart Milburn had previously offended to fund a drug habit but had been out of trouble since 2009 until this incident in October. Milburn, 43, of Whalley Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to begging in a public place. He was given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay £22 victim surcharge. Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said staff at Asda in Accrington called police on October 6 to say he was begging in the doorway and refusing to leave. He was warned about his behaviour but no further action was taken.
