Social enterprise Shaathi Bangladesh Limited organised a workshop for making reusable pads on 28 May, 2023, on the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023. The workshop was held at the Edward M Kennedy (EMK) Centre in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
In recognition of Valentine's Day, Kavazo, a café based in Dhaka, and Shaathi Bangladesh Limited, a social enterprise committed to improving menstrual hygiene management, joined forces to provide 600 eco-friendly reusable sanitary napkins to 200 underprivileged girls at Fatema Lira Mohila Madrasah and Orphanage.
Shaathi Bangladesh Limited has opened a sewing center in Korail slum to teach underprivileged women and girls how to make reusable sanitary napkins for free. Shaathi held a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 30, to celebrate the opening of the sewing center in Korail slum. The project "Give women the gift of Independence" is sponsored by First Security Islami Bank Limited
