I went to all the parks in the Bayview. Here s what it was like.

As soon as I crest the grassy 425-foot peak and take a moment to enjoy the sprawling vista, it hits me. Where is everybody?
Sure, it’s a Tuesday, but I somehow have the 44-acre Bayview Park almost entirely to myself on a sunny afternoon. Aside from one woman and her dog, and a few city workers I saw driving to the radio tower, the trails are empty, and the 360-degree view that includes the bay, the downtown skyline, and the Bay Bridge is unobstructed. Birds are chirping loudly, towering eucalyptus trees sway in the breeze and the distant sound of Highway 101 hums in the background.

When I ask Guy Fieri what he thinks is the most underrated restaurant in the Bay Area, he doesn t give me a straight answer.
Maybe it’s because he’s been to hundreds of holes-in-the-wall and tucked-away spots in the nearly 15 years he’s hosted “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.” Maybe it’s because he wanted to be careful of playing favorites on the record. It could also just have been that I called him at the crack of dawn.

Hinoya Curry, a popular Japanese curry restaurant with dozens of Tokyo locations, made its much-hyped debut in the United States last month in San Francisco. But after a busy soft opening where over 100 people lined up for its new Marina location, the restaurant mysteriously papered over the Hinoya logo in the Hinoya Curry SF sign, leading San Franciscans to wonder had something happened?
It was initially reported that the restaurant at 3347 Fillmore Street was temporarily closing due to permitting issues, and that information circulated on social media. But Thomas Uehara, chief executive of the restaurant, clarified the situation.

The California Department of Public Health sent letters by email and mail earlier this week to thousands of people who may have received less than the optimal dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the Oakland Coliseum.
It turns out some of those letters went to the wrong people.
