Nearly double the amount of nuts and candy ordered by Girl Scout Troop 1239 recently was delivered to Missy Casner’s house.
After the girls took orders online and on paper, Casner expected to receive 295 items.
When they arrived via FedEx, though, she went into the garage where her husband, Monty, was sorting them and realized there was a lot more than expected.

Are you celebrating with a real Christmas tree this year?
When it’s time to toss it, the Seymour Department of Public Works reminds residents there are seven drop-off locations.
They are at Margaret R. Brown Elementary School, Emerson Elementary School, Seymour-Jackson Elementary School, Seymour-Redding Elementary School, Seymour Middle School Sixth Grade Center, Seymour Middle School and Seymour High School. Look for the orange fencing.
Be sure to remove all decorations, including lights, ornaments, tinsel, etc., and do not bag or wrap your tree.
