More organisations, departments, schools and colleges celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 through various programmes, award functions and activities across the state.
Wokha: WDLSA in collaboration with district administration, DLCW- MSK, Sakhi (one stop centre) & Eloe Hoho under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao held the programme with Yentinoungbou, EAC (judicial) as keynote speaker and JMFC & secretary Wokha DLSA, Khrievono Seletsu as theme speaker.
Phek: PDLSA in collaboration with Phek Area Mothers Association (PAMA) organised a programme at Phek town council hall. President PAMA, Shetalu Medo gave opening address, Cheliam Khiamniungan Secy, Phek DLSA shared significance of IWD and urged women to support one another for a harmonious and progressive society. Panel lawyers, Sekhotso Rokha and Thomeweu spoke on domestic violence act, 2005 and gender equ
