Prosecutors in Donald Trump's hush money trial are moving deeper into his orbit following an inside-the-room account about the former president's reaction to a politically damaging recording that surfaced in the final weeks of the 2016 campaign. Hope Hicks, a former White House official and for years a top aide, is by far the closest Trump associate to have taken the witness stand in the Manhattan trial.
A man is accused of trafficking two women out of an apartment in Baton Rouge. Allbert Javier Herrara Machado, 23, was charged with two counts of human trafficking.
Harvey Weinstein is due to appear in state court in Manhattan on Wednesday for the first time since New York's highest court threw out his 2020 rape conviction last week. The hearing before Judge Curtis Farber will give prosecutors and Weinstein's lawyers a chance to address the next steps for the former film mogul, which could include a new trial. "Harvey is looking forward to his day in a fair court," said Weinstein's spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer.
"Videos have circulated where you see one minor, and I don't even know how to describe it, sexually abusing and having relations with a dog," she said. "This is zoophilia, having sexual relations with these small animals that are defenseless while others were recording."
The woman, identified in court papers only as S.S., has known Max Hartman since she was 13-years-old but there was nothing sweet about their relationship.
