Voters asked to consider new Director of Public Works position
February 17, 2021WOLFEBORO Voters will be asked to consider raising $67,546 to hire a new Director of Public Works this year (Article 34 on the Town Warrant). That amount represents six months of wages and benefits for what is to be a full time position on or after July 1. The director is to oversee the Sdministrative, Highway & Streets, Garage, Solid Waste and Buildings and Grounds Divisions. Current Director of the Department of Public Works and the Water and Sewer Utilities Division David Ford, hired in 2006 to take on both departments, each under separate management at the time, would step down as Director of Public Works with the hiring of a new director. but remain as Director of Water and Utilities, which includes overseeing the Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Sewer Treatment and Wastewater Plant Divisions.
