Let s have some fun: laying out draft questions (and your predictions!) for posterity and future review By redsoxu571 on Apr 28, 2021, 11:48am CDT +
With the draft nearly upon us, I thought it might be fun for us to record some thinking down that we could look back on. I think about when BTB has had some favorites (e.g. Dak Prescott, Xavier Woods) before there was an bias to them actually being Cowboys - wouldn t it be amusing to look back on why they were targets for some, and the ways others were less keen on them? And then there are the great draft debates, such as Watt versus Charlton versus McKinney versus King versus the field - how interesting it would be to reflect back on those.
My last attempt at a Mock draft before the real thing. By ClayfromBklyn on Apr 25, 2021, 8:29pm EDT +
My 2021 draft best-case scenario not from any Mock
Sim this time, just from my own perception of what is possible (from having run hundreds of Mocks) and what I’d be shooting for if it were up to me (spoiler alert multiple 2nd round picks). Here goes:
1) We trade with Jax,
pre-draft, giving them Engram & our 4th Rd pick (#117) for their second 2nd Rd pick (#45). They truly
suck at TE & have three picks
before #45, so they can
easily afford to spend #45 on what will immediately be their starting TE, + our 4th Rd pick. Adding Evan should be worth dropping back 2 rounds to what will then be their 6th overall pick at 117. Adding pick #45 makes me

If you’ve been anywhere around the Twittersphere recently, you’ve probably seen the latest mock draft from Good Morning Football host Peter Schrager, which Josh Houtz recently discussed here.
Schrager’s mock draft starts off quarterback heavy, with the Jags-Jets-Niners going Trevor Lawrence-Zach Wilson-Mac Jones. He has the Patriots trading up from 15 to 4 to nab their future QB in Justin Fields. Honestly, that’s not insane. We’ve seen teams jump double digits spots to grab their QB of the future, and Atlanta is in a position to trade down, compile picks, and ride Matt Ryan for a few more seasons.

Agree with you. I wrote about this in my last presidents’s blog at the end. Check it out. In fact, our CFO bought me one of those infamous Tommy Hilfiger shirts just to rib me and remind me we need to improve things where we can. Jason Wright (@whoisjwright) April 5, 2021
