The Oregon Department of Forestry says the number of small wildfires has tripled this spring partly because dry conditions across the state, according to the Associated Press. Clackamas County said Tuesday that it has implemented a backyard burn ban. Polk, Marion, Yamhill and Washington counties announced their burn bans as well. Officials say restrictions include: Agricultural burning is strongly discouraged, contact your local fire agency for special situations.
