Set in London s punk era during the 1970s, the film stars Emma Stone (
La La Land, Easy A) as fashionista Estella a.k.a Cruella de Vil as she gets a job at London’s most fashionable department store, Liberty. She starts by cleaning restrooms, and eventually humbles herself when her creative instincts take over and she dresses one of the mannequins one night.
Fired the next morning, Estella is about to leave the store just as world-famous fashion designer, The Baroness (Emma Thompson), enters the store and is only impressed by Estella s styling. She sees potential in Estella and offers her a job. Throughout the course of the film, Estella transforms into Cruella and discovers who she really is.
