JOHANNESBURG - Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has on Saturday called on South Africans to embrace the Cuban engineers who have come to help resolve the country’s water infrastructure problems.
South Africa has imported 24 engineers from the North American country to transfer skills and knowledge and to assist the government s efforts on water delivery.

JOHANNESBURG - Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has assured residents and business owners in the Vaal that government is committed to restoring dilapidated infrastructure that has contributed to years of pollution in the district.
Sisulu was part of a government delegation that visited the troubled Emfuleni Municipality earlier on Tuesday.
The municipality has been unable to repair and replace sewage systems and has failed to comply with the Water Service Act amongst a list of violations.

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town housing activists on Thursday said they would not be bullied and that Human Settlements Minister Lindiwe Sisulu s tactics would not scare or intimidate them.
Sisulu has been criticised for her outburst during a visit to the Taiwan informal settlement in Khayelitsha this week.
In a video of the incident, she was seen arguing with an activist – she has since said she would be lodging criminal complaint against the man.
