1/1 THE FAMILY of a disabled man who was rescued after falling into a river say they are at their “wits end” - and are calling for more help from Bolton Council and social workers. Seth McKay, 49, was rescued by emergency services after falling 20ft into the River Croal, near St Edmund Street, in the early hours of Monday morning. He was rescued in a joint operation by police, the fire service and the ambulance service, before being taken to Royal Bolton Hospital. He remains in hospital and has underwent surgery after breaking his hip during the fall. Mr McKay, who lives in Harwood, sustained a brain injury two years ago following a fall outside a pub, which has left him with a permanent fracture inside his skull. He is also registered blind.

By the end of the night, however, another two West Coast titles had been decided, in the stockcar and production saloon classes.
