BETHELEM, CT The first annual Highly Caffeinated 5K + Music Festival will be Saturday, Aug. 21 at March Farm in Bethlehem. It s described as an all-day, family-friendly event that will bring together the best of casually competitive outdoor exercise with a celebration of great tunes from some of the top acoustic rock musicians in the country, according to a statement.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation s Connecticut chapter. We started Highly Caffeinated as a way to uplift others and give back to groups we believe in, said event organizers Corey and Renée Durkin, the husband-and-wife founders of the triathlon team. Make-A-Wish s efforts to bring joy to the lives of critically ill children and their families is something we want to support in every way possible.
