A10 speed camera removed from Setchey after concerns raised
| Updated: 16:14, 23 December 2020
A speed camera has been removed just days after it had been installed as safety fears were expressed by residents and councillors.
The camera was positioned at the A10 Garage Lane junction in Setchey, but there were calls for it to be repositioned as it obscured vision for those pulling out when looking in the direction of Downham.
West Norfolk county councillor Alex Kemp raised concerns with the location, and confirmed the camera was removed last night after an authorised person was called in by the Highways Network Team.

Safety concerns over A10 speed camera at Setchey

Two West Norfolk councillors are calling for a speed camera to be removed as it is deemed unsafe for motorists on the A10.
Councillors Simon Nash and Alex Kemp have voiced concerns after the speed camera was installed at the Garage Lane junction in Setchey.
Mr Nash said the majority of accidents on the stretch of road have been caused by failure to observe rather than speeding, and he would ideally like to see a roundabout at the junction instead.
