SANDAKAN: A former Felcra manager pleaded not guilty to six counts of committing Criminal Breach of Trust (CBT) involving a sum of RM20,999.44. Shahrul Nazim Mustapa, 39, made the plea before Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar Manat, after the charges were read to him. On the first to sixth counts, Shahrul is accused of committing the offence by releasing the Wang Tabung Bagi Kerja-Kerja Uruskendali Felcra Estet  through six cheques – RM2,830.92, RM1,978.04, RM2,642.20, RM3,465.22, RM4,461.26, and RM5,621.80. ADVERTISEMENT The charges stated that Shahrul allegedly breached the Felcra Estet Sdn Bhd’s financial management procedures in which there was no circular or instruction issued by the finance unit related to the payment of top staff incentives achievement of revenue or payment of incentive expenses for manager.

Police DSP jailed two years, fined RM25k for asking for bribe

KOTA KINABALU: A senior police officer was jailed two years and fined RM25,000 or five months’ jail in default after he was found guilty of asking for RM20,000 from a woman in connection with a cheating case in 2016. Mohd Mahyudin Abdullah ( pic), who held the rank of Deputy Supt at the time, was found guilty of asking for a bribe of RM20,000 from Josepin J. Langkan as inducement to not take action against her under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.
