Investigations continue into the alleged murder of a Sigatoka elderly couple whose bodies were found several days after their tragic deaths.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said no arrests had been made in the alleged murder of Sesha Reddy and wife, Mirdu Chandra.
The couple’s bodies were found on the morning of February 2 by an employee.
According to close family friend Abhinesh Singh, the couple were alone in their four-bedroom house before the incident occurred.
He said he had last seen them a few days before Tropical Cyclone Ana struck Fiji.

Close family members of late Sesha Reddy and his wife Mirdu Chandra gathered at the Dignified Crematorium in Nakasi today to bid their final goodbyes.
The couple was found dead in their home next to Lawai village in Sigatoka on Tuesday.
Close family friend of the couple, Dr Salik Ram Govind, says the news of their death devastated him.

Murdered Sigatoka couple laid to rest
The late Sesha Reddy and Mirdu Chand have been laid to rest today.
They were murdered at their Korokoro, Sigatoka home earlier this week.
The couple were in their 60’s.
Family members and friends gathered at the Dignified Crematorium in Nakasi today to pay their respect.
Meanwhile, no arrests have been made regarding the case.

The discovery of the bodies of an elderly couple early yesterday has rocked the quiet community of Lawai, Sigatoka.
The bodies of real estate developer Sesha Reddy and wife Mirdu Chandra were found at their three-bedroom home in Lawai estate.
The United States residents’ bodies were discovered by one of their employees.
Family friend Abhinesh Singh said he last saw the couple alive on Wednesday, just before heavy downpours associated with Tropical Cyclone Ana restricted movement within the rural community.
“I usually check on them when there’s bad weather so when I called them on Thursday and again on Friday, there was no answer,” he said.
