Atlassian announced last month that over the next three years, it will phase out support for its Server products, which allow customers to run software like Jira and Confluence on their own data centers.
This change will force customers to either move to Atlassian s cloud offering or its Data Center offering – a more costly subscription tier for large businesses.
Some partners and customers – especially in Europe – are concerned about this change due to data regulations like GDPR, as well as the higher cost of the Data Center option, which could be prohibitive.
