More than 500 National Guard soldiers have been called out and sent to the area. Now, in response to the violence, President Donald Trump tweeting for the minneapolis mayor to, quote, get his act together and bring the city under control. Or i will send in the National Guard and get the job done right. Of course, the National Guard had already been ordered in, not by the president. He then says these thugs are dishonoring the memory of george floyd. Cnns Josh Campbell is in minneapolis. I spoke with him by phone last hour. There were a number of protestors that gathered outside this precinct. Precinct 3 is the name. Just not far from where the death of george floyd occurred, which we know was the africanamerican man who that dramatic video that we showed before, showed him on the ground with a Police Officer with his knee on his neck. And whats notable about it is the audio it contains. Its the number of Police Officers you see detaining him there in the street and the number of times you can hear mr. Floyd say he couldnt breathe. He died in police hands. That started what we are seeing tonight. Officials held a News Conference today including the trump appointed u. S. Attorney for the district of minnesota including the local attorney for Hennepin County, minnesota. But they didnt have enough to say to stop what were seeing unfold.
