Service on Montreal's REM light-rail system is gradually resuming after the network was completely shut down for more than two hours Thursday morning due to a technical problem.
Service on Montreal s new light-rail line will be restricted beginning Sunday so that crews can begin work to make the trains run quieter through residential neighbourhoods.
It emerged Tuesday that a second service interruption occurred at around 11 p.m. Monday and lasted about an hour, during which time would-be riders were directed to shuttle buses.
