NSW latest Covid-19 update as at 15 May

897,768 NSW Health thanks the community for continuing to come forward for testing, and urges anyone with even the mildest of symptoms to be tested immediately, then isolate until a negative result is received. We urge everyone around the state to continue to take practical measures to stay COVID-safe. This includes always using QR codes to check in to and out of venues, practising good hand hygiene, and staying home and getting tested for COVID‑19 if unwell. NSW latest Covid-19 update as at 13 May

840,647 Following the identification of a COVID-19 case in the Greater Melbourne community on Tuesday 11 May, people arriving in NSW from the Greater Melbourne area must complete a declaration form which confirms they have not attended a venue of concern. These declaration forms are available on Service NSW. All travellers who have arrived from the Greater Melbourne area since Thursday 6 May must check the Victoria Department of Health and Human Services website and immediately follow the outlined public health advice. If you have attended any of the venues identified at the times listed, you must contact NSW Health immediately on 1800 943 553. Declaration forms provide critical information to enable NSW Health to contact travellers if required and is for all travellers who intend to enter NSW by air, road or rail having been in Greater Melbourne in the previous 14 days. Declaration forms must be completed within the 24-hour period prior to entering NSW, or on entry to NSW.

COVID-19 restrictions update 6 May

The Premier, Minister for Health and Medical Research Given the latest cases of community transmission and updated health advice from the Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant, COVID-19 restrictions will be temporarily tightened across Greater Sydney. The following measures will be effective from midday today, 6 May 2021 (enforceable from 5pm) until 12.01am Monday, 10 May for the Greater Sydney region (including Wollongong, Central Coast and Blue Mountains): Visitors to households will be limited to 20 guests – including children Masks will be compulsory on public transport and in all public indoor venues, such as retail, theatres, hospitals, aged care facilities and for front-of-house hospitality staff (except in a hospitality venue when eating or drinking)

Date Time Public health alert – Western Australia 1 May ​The West Australian Government has announced a Perth hotel quarantine worker and two of his household contacts have tested positive to COVID-19, and has published a list of venues of concern visited by these positive cases while potentially infectious. Prior to travelling to NSW, anyone who has been in Perth since 27 April should immediately check the Western Australian Health website to determine whether they have been to any venues of concern, and to follow the public health advice. Anyone currently in NSW who has been in Perth since 27 April should immediately check if they have been in a venue of concern. If you have attended any of these venues at the relevant times, please immediately isolate, get tested, and call NSW Health on 1800 943 553.
