The press service of the pro-presidential Servant of the People party has issued a response to the recent statement made by one of its own MPs, Mariana Bezuhla, calling for the resignation of General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian MP Mariana Bezuhla from the pro-presidential Servant of the People party made more accusations against Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief General Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Facebook on Nov. 27.
The statement comes amid speculation in Western and Ukrainian media about alleged disagreements between Zelensky and Zaluzhnyi. Asked whether Bezuhla’s stance was in line with the Servant of the People party's position, its spokeswoman Yulia Paliychuk told Ukrainska Pravda that Bezuhla "is responsible for her own words."
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has ordered that Andriy Odarchenko, an MP from the ruling Servant of the People party, be detained for two months, with the bail set at UAH 15 million ($416,000), the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) reported on Nov. 22.
