In a statement, the GNR states that the Territorial Command of Lisbon, through the Criminal Investigation Nucleus (NIC) detained eight men aged between 27 and 55 years for drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons and possession of a prohibited weapon, in the municipalities of Sintra, Vila Franca de Xira, in the district of Lisbon and Lagos, in Faro. The GNR reported that the investigation into drug trafficking lasted about 18 months.
