Brasilia, May 22 (Prensa Latina) The eleventh edition of the traditional Pachamama Border Film Festival in Brazil will close its curtains after having carried out an online program showing more than 50 Latin American films. The organizers of the exhibition reported that the closing ceremony will be held live on the YouTube video platform, this Saturday, at 8:00 p.m. local time. In addition, the film King Kong in Asunción (2020), by Camilo Cavalcante, winner of the last Gramado Festival, will also be screened today, and the concert Para Bailar, by Camila Cabeça will be given.

According to organizers, the event that will be free and will run until May 22, has as its backdrop the panorama of contemporary Latin and Brazilian cinema: award-winning films, premieres, thematic exhibitions, tables, workshops and debates .
Through the event s official websites on social networks, the public was able to check out some of the creative and thematic contents of Pachamama, developed by visual artist Leo Lage.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Lines were long Thursday at the new FEMA-supported, state-run COVID-19 vaccination satellite site at Allen Park Community Center in North Miami Beach.
It’s one of two new walk-up sites that opened Thursday, along with one at the Miami Springs Community Center.
“You see that the people have the desire to get the shot. The need is there,” said North Miami Beach Mayor Anthony F. DeFillipo. “People are encouraged to come out and get the vaccine. Everyone wants to get back to normalcy and that’s what we are looking to achieve as a city.”
