“Sustainable development of any country is impossible without peace and security.” Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said these words back in 2015. Speaking at the UN summit in New York, the head of state called on countries to dialogue.
The Belarusian delegation includes Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic, member of the CIS IPA Council Natalya Kochanova (head of the delegation), members of the Council of the Republic Aleksandr Karpitsky, Sergei Rachkov and Felix Yashkov.
The CIS IPA Member Parliaments, officials of the CIS IPA member states and experts of the International Institute of Monitoring Democracy Development of the CIS IPA are currently forming a group of observers.
“In addition to geopolitical topics, the focus of attention is on the development of economic cooperation, technology transfer, and the formation of digital sovereignty. Participation in the conference is very important for Belarus; we have managed to establish relations, hold meetings and negotiations with a number of parliamentary delegations of African countries, in particular, Angola, Algeria, Egypt, South Africa, Madagascar, and other countries,” the MP said.
