The suspect who wounded a Thermopolis Police Sergeant in a shootout has died, and investigators are still trying to determine exactly what happened during the incident.

According to a media release, at around 12:30pm Friday (April 28th), Sergeant Mike Mascarro and other officers responded to an incident on Canyon Hills Road on the southwest side of town, where a shooting occurred.
