A motorist exits York St through the entry lane. Michael Retter, 72, who lives on the corner of York St and Cambridge Ave, has been trying to turn away motorists from driving the wrong way or cutting across reserve land, and recording those not adhering to the new layout. He has provided pictures to police. Signs signalled to drivers the road was no exit and not suitable for trucks, but Retter said he had seen B-Trains, cars and motorbikes all exiting the entry at all times of the day. Drivers had been abusive towards him and his wife Vivian when they tried to redirect them to the correct access route for Ashhurst, about 100m further up Napier Rd.
