A quick-thinking ambulance crew has saved a vulnerable Scunthorpe man from losing thousands of pounds in a scam.
Yvette Ray and Chris Gough were at the patientâs home when they become worried about a visit heâd had the previous day.
Men claiming to be trained tradesman had knocked on his door, saying they wanted to look at his roof.
Yvette, an ambulance technician who has been with East Midlands Ambulance Service for five years, immediately became concerned about the story.
