have been steve: as the 16th anniversary of september 11th approaches, we remember the heroes of that horrible day. heroes like wells remi crowder. ainsley: wells worked in the world trade center but always wanted to be a firefighter and always carried a red bandanna. he was killed on september 11th but after the towers collapsed, survivors reported being saved by a man in a red bandanna. and it happened to be wells. pete: his story is now being shown in select theaters across the u.s. in a brand new documentary called the man in the red bandanna. joining us now is the writer and director of the film matthew weis and his mother alison crowder. alison, obviously september 11th impacted so many of us you personally and powerfully. what does it mean to have the story of your son told this way? it s really astonishing. matthew has done such an incredibly beautiful job researching, spending many years following this story
