A 46-year-old osteopath has described how she survived alone for three days and four nights in a hut that was buried under deep snow in the French Alps.Hope of finding Aurélie Dutertre, an experienced mountaineer from Grenoble, had almost been abandoned when, on Sunday morning, a helicopter spotted a corner of a survival blanket she had deliberately used to attract any rescuers at 2,130m altitude in the Belledonne range.
It s the first time the service has been made available in Europe and it will be accessible from Grenoble railway station between February 16 and March 16.
