One of Europe s most prestigious golf tournaments, the Genesis Scottish Open 2023, sponsored by Hyundai Motor, kicked off at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland on Thursday.
The 2022 Genesis Championship, a Korea Professional Golfers Association (KPGA) golf tournament, began Thursday at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Songdo, west of Seoul, running until Sunday, Hyundai Motor Group said Thursday. The automotive group said the golf championship is sponsored by its Genesis luxury car brand with an overall purse of 1.5 billion won ($1.07 million), the largest amount among the KPGA events. The inaugural Genesis Championship was held in 2017.
