during your time as a judge displayed your dedication to ensuring on communities are safe. i find it hard to believe that these organizations having looked closely at your sentencing decisions, your lifetime conduct would have taken those unusual steps to be that forceful in supporting you, if in fact you had somehow a disturbing report of coddling child pornographiers on being soft on crime. in fact, your record demonstrates you re an even-handand impartial judge. i can look at that in very politically charged or partisan interests. you ve delivered rulings on both sides for plaintiffs and defendants and in my review of your records, you put any personal views aside, based your decisions on the arguments of
but i do think it is fair to look into sentencing decisions by a judge, that can tell you a lot about their philosophy and the law enforcement it was all valid. senator blackburn s question got a lot of attention, can you define a woman. we know there are cases that are bubbling out with trans-athletes that will probably land in supreme court at some point, she she she is thinking 10 steps ahead. i think it appropriate to look at people s past writings, speeches and sentences decisions as a judge. trey: all right, enough politics. and law. now something that makes me happy. you have written another book on the heels of a popular book that you wrote last year about women in the
full floor of the senate. the full senate vote from there. she had an opening statement today that many people say characterizes her. i talked to people that say she s brilliant. she s charming. she s warm. we saw all of that today. she talked about how much she appreciates and loves this country, the continues that she s found here. she s gotten a lot of praise across the aisle. a lot of people say we have to take a deep dive on their record. they looked at sentencing decisions. a number of republicans have said that they want her to answer the question about whether or not it would be okay to pack the court or to add seats. here s senator tom cotton talking about that. i would hope that anyone nominated to the court would have no problem echoing the words of justice ginsberg and justice brewer saying that they
