Kyle Ray Riley, 25, Minot, was sentenced on Wednesday to three years in prison, with a requirement that he serve 360 days in jail, and two years of supervised probation for breaking several bones in a another man’s face during a fight at the Ward County Jail on Nov. 7, 2020.
Court records show that Judge Stacy Louser also ordered Riley to have no contact with the victim and to pay $1,100 in court costs and restitution yet to be determined.
Riley will receive credit for the 63 days he already served in jail.
The sentence is concurrent with a sentence Riley is already serving for theft. Judge Doug Mattson revoked his probation on the felony theft charge on Jan. 12 and ordered him to serve 18 months in prison, with credit for 75 days already served. The probation revocation is concurrent with sentences in earlier cases.
