Mercedes-Benz has revealed an early teaser for the EQT compact electric van, which it promises to unveil on May 10.
Taking place in 19 days, the unveiling will happen via an extensive video on Mercedes‘ video platform, Mercedes Me, as well as on social media at 11:00 AM CEST (5:00 AM EST).
The company has also taken the time to produce a video featuring skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. The video has been designed to prove how good the EQT will be as a lifestyle and family vehicle, not just a commercial vehicle.
Gordon Wagener, Chief Design Officer for the Daimler Group, Marcus Breitschwerdt, head of vans, will also be present to show off the electric van’s many highlights.

Mercedes-Benz EQS Debuts With No Frunk Because Clean Air Matters
Apr 15, 2021 6h ago ++ The Energizing Air Control Plus system demands most of the space under the hood.
As the video above shows, the HEPA filter it uses to purify the air is massive: 596 millimeters wide (23.5 inches), 412 mm (16.2 in) tall, and 40 mm (1.6 in) thick. Although the Energizing Air Control Plus is optional, it would be weird to have a frunk in less expensive derivatives and not on the ones that present the gigantic air purifier.
According to Mercedes-Benz, EQS units equipped with it can prevent 99.65 percent of particulate material of all sizes from entering the cabin. With 600 grams of activated carbon, it has an adsorption area equivalent to 150 football fields and a cleaning capacity of 9.82 dm³ (liters, or 2.6 gallons).

It is the most comfortable and most advanced C-Class ever made, and Mercedes aims it straight at the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, Lexus IS, Volvo S60, Jaguar XE, Alfa Romeo Giulia and the rest of the premium sports sedan segment. 146 photos
This is a bigger car than its predecessor. The wheelbase is longer by an inch (25.4 mm), resulting in an additional 0.8 inches (20 mm) of legroom for rear-seat passengers. You also get more room in the front thanks to its wider stance.
