COLUMBUS, Ohio The Columbus Zoo will host quiet hours on Sunday, May 16 between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help give individuals with sensory needs time to explore the grounds.
Zoo officials said they will provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere without all the usual sounds visitors may experience. Guests will be provided with sensory-friendly maps and a calming room will be available for those who may need space.
Sensory kits that include noise-cancelling headphones, sunglasses and fidget devices will be offered to check out at no additional cost.
