Next year, life should be going back to normal for South Dakota Universities. March 16, 2021 The typical college experience often times involves celebrating traditions and socializing but instead has been lack luster in school spirit due to minimal attendance. Organizations were forced to meet online when in person interactions were expected in the years leading up to college. There is no question that the pandemic came with many challenges for students, like zoom fatigue.

67th Boyertown Citizen of the Year awarded to Kim Slonaker

Winners of the 67th Boyertown Citizen of the Year Awards have been announced with the Citizen of the Year Award going to Kim Slonaker. Also, First Responder of the Year has been awarded to Andrew Duncan; Mentor of the Year is Donnie Ellixson, Senior Student of the Year Co-Winners are Jake Dawson and Kelsey Brinckman, and the Special Recognition Award goes to the Optimist Club of Boyertown. “The purpose of the Citizen of the Year Awards is to honor and recognize people that are contributing to our community in big ways,” said Lindsey Mason of the Citizen of the Year board. “This year s winners are phenomenal additions to the decades of Citizen of the Year winners. We are very proud of them and we are so appreciative of the work they have done for our community. We are very excited to honor them!”

He/she also uses numbers effectively and uses effective non-verbal language. The following students have been chosen: Nolen Gruehn, fifth grade (elementary level), son of Nathan and Kamryn Gruehn; Lily Willerton, eighth grade (junior high level), daughter of Loretta Willerton and John Willerton: Dana Morrish, eleventh grade (high school level), daughter of Janet Abfalter and Mark Morrish; and Libby Ondrajka, twelfth grade (senior student), daughter of Fred and Sarah Ondrajka.
