On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “11th Hour,” host Brian Williams responded to concerns that terrorists could enter through the southern border by wondering, “but will they be terrorists as effective as the ones we saw on 1/6 when they took our Capitol?”
After playing a clip of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) expressing concern that terrorists could enter through the border, Williams remarked, “Yes, but will they be terrorists as effective as the ones we saw on 1/6 when they took our Capitol?”
He then asked panelist
Washington Post White House Bureau Chief and NBC News Senior Political Analyst Ashley Parker, “Ashley, all kidding aside, when Fox News tonight wasn’t eviscerating Meghan Markle, they were going after the border. now, and i think what the deal is actually going to look like is still very much up in the air, kate? first and foremost, who is negotiating with who? i know there s a whom in there but never get it right. stick around. let s continue the discussion because phil does a great job of trying to unconfuse me but he confused me. joining phil and i, cnn politics editor at large chris aliz za, senior political analyst mark preston and political analyst and writer at the atlantic molly ball. molly, here s one thing that is confounding me is phil laying it out perfectly of what exactly is being said and not said. why is any of this being said publicly until the principals know what they re negotiating about? i think the democrat strategy has been they ve got to hold trump to his word when they feel he s promised them something. trump has a long history of saying things that he thinks people want to hear in a private meeting, and then saying something else in public. so i think the democrats
