Schools to continue with online learning after mid-year break

06 Jun 2021 / 12:09 H. -Bernama PUTRAJAYA: The school session after the current mid-year break will continue with Home-based Teaching and Learning (PdPR) for 25 days, said Senior Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin. (pix) The new session is from June 13 to July 15 for Group A schools in Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu. Sessions from June 14 to July 16 are for Group B schools in Perlis, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya. All private, international and expatriate schools registered with the Education Ministry should also implement PdPR throughout this period according to their own calendars, he told a virtual press conference today.

Covid: More than 70,000 teachers vaccinated

PUTRAJAYA: More than 70,000 teachers have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, said Senior Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin. He said the Ministry of Education (MOE) would strive to increase the number as the school session would continue with Home-based Teaching and Learning (PdPR) until the end of July. Radzi, in a virtual press conference today, said discussions on the matter had been held with National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin. Khairy was previously reported to have said that a total of 500,000 teachers have been listed as vaccine recipients under Phase 2 of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme which began on April 19.
