PETALING JAYA: The names of some 68,000 senior citizens and those with special needs (OKU) have been submitted for vaccination against Covid-19, says the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry. “The ministry, through the Welfare Department, has submitted a name list of a target group totaling 68,003 names to the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (Mosti) comprising 48,564 senior citizens and 19,439 OKU registered for vaccination, ” the ministry said in a statement on Monday (May 17). The ministry added that the 48,564 senior citizens are members of the Senior Citizen Activity Centre and residents of institutions under its supervision. The OKU name list comprises trainees under the Community Rehabilitation Programme, it added.
