As agribusiness continues to be the focus of wealth and job creation towards boosting food security, the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, NALDA, has concluded plans to boost cassava production with a packaging plant in Ogun State.
This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary, NALDA, Prince Paul Ikonne, during a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ogun State Dr Dapo Abiodun while explaining the essence of NALDA’s visit to the State.
Ikonne also told the Governor that NALDA wants to reactivate its 700 hectares of farmland in Ogun State including the establishment of Integrated Farm Estate in the three Senatorial Zones of the State along with a garri processing and packaging plant.

As a move to add value to agricultural production, the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) is set to establish a garri processing plant in Ogun State to boost the cassava value chain and boost job creation for youths in the country.
The cassava packaging plant is expected to complement the Integrated Farm Estates to be established in the three Senatorial zones of the state.
The farm estate would comprise of different agricultural activities which include farming, processing and packaging areas, commodity market, residential areas and schools.

Zaria (Kaduna State), April 8, 2021 (NAN) The Follow Taxes, an NGO says it will reward citizens who consistently report irregularities in procurement processes in Kaduna State.
The Co-Founder of the NGO, Dr Saied Tafida, made this known on the sidelines of two days training for State and Local Government procurement officers to improve Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS).
Tafida told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Zaria on Thursday that the organisation would also recognise outstanding Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) who adhered to the OCDS.
He said that the recognition would serve as an incentive to promote citizens participation and government’s response to complaints around procurement processes in the state.
